Post seven last words

Well, I've finished my research. Lots of it is off the blog and on my usb, on a nice word document. I didn't quite get the flow of automatically using the blog for keeping info, but I think I know how to do that now, and I know why it wasn't automatic for this particular research topic: the books were better! After hours of wandering around the internet (having quite a nice time actually) I found 3 books and they became the basis of my research. There didn't seem to be one definitive early libs of NSW website, but lots of lovely old books really gave me the overview I needed, and then I augmented them withonline articles and websites- State Library of NSW, flickr, and the Australian Dictionary of Biography http://adbonline.anu.edu.au was a particular favourite, I really got lots of the flavour and character of the individuals and their contributions. But I needed that hard copy overview. Bit disappointed with Lib of NSW, it has an annoying marketing tinge to the rather brief information. And its all about the buildings.
Regarding my own web 2.0 process? well, I do have that video online, only its not embedded. In my own defense all I can say is that I was probably tired when I pushed 'post' when I published post 6 last week....although I'd mow the lawn and do the dishes for a year for the person who can get the word 'just' out of all manuals and online instructions forever.
I like this blog business now, and have looked at lots since we started. Saw Julie and Julia. Fantasise about getting a family blog happening.
